4. Will I get a bill from Lower Electric each month?

You will not get a bill from Lower Electric. You will get a bill from the new provider that you choose and in most cases this is the only change that will occur at all. In most cases, the new bill will show what you would have paid staying with your former provider and what you are paying with the new provider, showing you the amount of savings each month.

5. What will happen if the company that I switch to leaves Illinois or goes out of business?

The providers that Lower Electric works with are solid companies that have been in business for a long time. The likelihood of any of these companies leaving Illinois or going out of business is very small. However, in the unlikely event of any of these companies leaving Illinois or going out of business, your electric and/or gas service would automatically shift to the local utility. In most cases, this would be the utility that is currently providing your service.

There is no contract with Lower Electric, LLC. Your contract would be the company that you switched your electric and/or natural gas to. In most cases, your contract would last for one year and at the end of the term, it would be up to you to determine whether you would like to renew.
